I Am Sorry John Sellers

Posted: 03.09.07 | 8pm

I Just finished a book and I feel it is very important to issue a “public apology”. About three years ago an incident occurred and now I feel it is my duty to issue this statement. John Sellers, I am sorry.

After reading I now understand how much of a jerk I was. Perhaps I was just jealous that you got to drink and hang with the king, maybe i was just following the faithful. You didn’t deserve it, you were one of us. I have been backstage at the 930 and talked Marion’s Pizza with him, but you ate the pizza, you saw the cooler of endless beers, you were the one I (we) have always wanted to be. Now that i have put the pieces together, I know I am one of the people that was brutal towards your invasion of the GBV household that hazy day circa 2004.

I will never forget Rich’s email when we all found out about the book… Boy was I mad (we were mad), How could you have done that?

I am not sure what that letter said that you wrote to him, but that doesn’t matter. What you wrote for us makes that day seem like a bitch session, a playing of the “smallest violin in the world”. You have outdone yourself and should be amazingly proud of your actions. It not only makes me feel honored to be a fan, but further emphasizes my fan-dom to all things Bob (as I sit here with my Electrifying Conclusion shirt on).

So with that i am sorry, and thank you. People like you are why GBV is so special. I am so glad that I have been a part of it and met others just like you.

If you have not read John’s book yet, you owe it to him. If you were one of those timid souls who lashed out you will want to apologize also.
